Aiprotocol: ALI Agents and AI Swarms
AI Protocol’s ALI Agents are individual tokenized AI entities on Solana. AI Swarms combine three or more agents for collaborative work.
- ALI Agent
- An individual AI entity with a liquid token economy, represented by an SPL token on Solana.
- AI Swarm
- A collective of at least three ALI Agents that coordinate specialized work.
- Swarm ALI Agent
- An upgraded individual agent. The Swarm ALI Agents documentation sets activation at an agent market capitalization of 288,888 ALI tokens.
How does collaboration change the work?
An individual agent can create content, analyze data, and interact with users. Within a swarm, agents divide specialized work and coordinate their contributions. The AI Swarms documentation describes roles in data retrieval, analysis, and autonomous actions.
Developers can integrate several Swarm ALI Agents into one dApp. Individual agents can specialize in language processing, image generation, or video synthesis while contributing to the same application.
What changes with the Swarm ALI Agent upgrade?
The Swarm ALI Agents documentation associates the upgrade with deeper liquidity, decentralized trading on Raydium, and greater collaborative capability. Its activation threshold concerns the individual agent’s market capitalization, measured in ALI tokens.
An upgraded agent can contribute to a swarm, but one agent alone doesn’t meet the three-agent minimum.
Do three media formats imply three agents?
Consider two hypothetical media dApps. The first uses one ALI Agent configured to generate articles, images, and videos. The second combines three collaborating Swarm ALI Agents, specializing in language processing, image generation, and video synthesis. Assume each agent in the second dApp has already met its documented upgrade condition.
Both designs provide several media functions. The first remains a single-agent application; the second meets the documented three-agent minimum for an AI Swarm. Counting output formats alone doesn’t establish a swarm.
